|Domainplus domain management system FAQ|
Plesk 6.5 provides additional security measure allowing to restrict Administrator's access from certain IP's. You can use this function by creating a list of IP addresses to which the restriction policy will be applied, two modes are available:
If the second policy is used, it becomes impossible to remove all records from the list. When you attempt to remove the last record, the restriction policy mode is switched automatically to mode 1.
When you attempt to switch to the mode 2 with empty list, you are warned of impossibility of such action.
You will be informed if access from your IP address becomes unavailable due to your restriction policy misconfiguration.
You access the IP restriction management page clicking on the Access button on the Server administration page.
To add a network to the list click on the Add button.
To remove a network IP from the list, select it using a checkbox in the Sel column. Click Remove Selected.
To edit a network ip or subnet mask, select the ip address in the list, and you will be taken to the editing page.
To change the policy mode, select an appropriate radio button and click Set. The confirmation box will open, prompting you to confirm the mode change. Click Ok.
To sort the list of networks by IP address or subnet mask, click on the corresponding title of the list, an arrow will indicate the order of sorting, up for ascending, down for descending.
You have an option of searching through the list for a certain pattern. It may help you in case you have a great number of networks in the list and you need to edit a particular one. To search through the list, type the pattern string into the text input field and click Search. If there were any items found matching the specified pattern string, they will all be displayed in the form of a reduced list. The button Show All will revert to displaying the entire list.
